As made clear in the title of one of the series—Modèles Inimitables d'Intuitions Possibles—the relationship between impossible imitation and model is paradoxical and refers to the realm of intuition, of the preverbal. It is still a form of mimicry that imitates the nonverbal: jouissance and implicit transgression. It gives it substance in an image that simulates it. In this sense, the practice of simulacrum, as developed by Júlia Ventura, takes on another dimension. The deconstruction of the denotation of the image's meaning, achieved through appropriation, is also implied in this mimicry of some emergence outside the symbolic order of meaning. Simulation then becomes a process of signaling, a sign construction that emerges and reverses the symbolic order. Like latent content, it suddenly bursts forth transgressive, but belongs to the unspeakable and forbidden. In this emergence, it traces a reversal of iconic stability and affirms a chaos without code or constituted subject.
