To safeguard its collection, MACAM relies on a specialized team in the field of conservation and restoration, ensuring the proper conditions and preventive conservation measures necessary for the maintenance of the cultural assets in its museum collection and other cultural assets in its care.

Given the diversity and complexity of materials and techniques used in modern and contemporary artworks, MACAM has a preventive conservation plan that includes standards and procedures to reduce the risk of deterioration and damage to cultural assets.

Restoration
There is a restoration workshop that supports the maintenance of the museum’s collection. Any intervention on cultural assets is carried out by a technician with legally recognized qualifications
