Catarina Neves, aged 22, began her musical journey singing in children’s choirs on the island of Madeira, where she was born. She currently lives in Lisbon, having moved there after enrolling at Universidade Nova, where she is still studying Philosophy. She has been devoting herself to jazz at the Hot Clube de Portugal school, developing her vocal technique and jazz idiom. Elsewhere, she is interested in folk and protest music, genres she grew up with.
