Actress, singer and painter, born in Cuiabá, Brazil, into a family of artists. She moved to Rio de Janeiro at the age of 17 to study acting and later to Lisbon, where she currently lives. Mariana is known as an actress for her work in the series "Luz Vermelha" and the short film "Teodora Quer Dançar", for which she was awarded Best Actress at Cine PE 2018.
This singer-songwriter, who started out as a joke, "selling" her poems on the streets of cities; soon realised that she had to add some chords to those words and it all ended up on the album "Erupção" released in 2019. Since then, performances, new songs and a new album ‘arranjo Ignóbil’ in 22 began, always with her feet between Brazil and Portugal. This year, the multi-artist from Cuiabá was nominated for the Sophia Award of the Portuguese Film Academy in the category of Best Original Song, with the song "Bicho do Amor", in the film "Chuva de Verão", where she has a special participation.
Their sound is rooted in word-poetry, part of an MBP genesis, capable of adding, here and there, moments that transport us to indie-rock-electronica, combined with the purest, most sincere and raw truth of a voice and guitar from their homeland. Her shows are the result of the strong energy she puts into everything she does - into every word, every chord - and are therefore intense and contagious. Mariana is now carrying a new work prepared to present and launch, from this new talent with so much talent.
