Disfarça e Chora brings together songs and melodies that helped shape Brazilian popular music throughout the 20th century.
Performed by Nani Medeiros and Trio Brasileiro de Choro, the concert explores works by Cartola, Noel Rosa, Ataulfo Alves, and other essential composers, weaving together samba, samba-canção, and choro in a performance marked by sensitivity and attentive listening.
Alongside Nani Medeiros’ voice, mandolinist Fernando Dalcin, João Pita on seven-string guitar, and Felipe Bastos on pandeiro guide a repertoire that alternates between songs and instrumental pieces, revealing different landscapes of Brazilian music — from urban poetry and longing to melodic elegance and the understated joy of the choros of Pixinguinha and Jacob do Bandolim.
A concert that celebrates encounters, melodies, and stories that remain alive through time.
