In this concert, Fred Martins will perform the most memorable songs from his career during the years he lived between Portugal and Spain. Martins, who recently returned to live in Brazil, believes that his musical background has expanded tremendously after more than 15 years living in the Iberian Peninsula. During this period, he developed several projects with Iberian artists, such as María Pagés and her flamenco ballet company (Seville-Madrid), singers Nancy Vieira (Cape Verde), Joana Amendoeira (Portugal), Uxía, Ugia Pedreira, and accordionist Pedro Pascual (Galicia), guitarist Manuel de Oliveira (Portugal), among many others.
The aesthetic of this concert is based on the artist's bossa nova musical roots, interpreting his own songs and classics from the Portuguese and Hispanic American songbook, with influences from Moorish sounds. Fred Martins reaffirms, with mastery in the language of voice and guitar, the musical connection between Africa, the Iberian Peninsula, and Brazil.
The show features Sandra Martins (cello), an accomplished instrumentalist who has been making her mark on important recordings in the Portuguese music scene.
