Jagoda Różycka is a singer and songwriter from Bielawa, Poland currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, active on polish and Portuguese scene for jazz, soul, r&b and popular music. Her characteristic voice is strongly influenced by sound of neosoul and jazz music, with a little bit of folk of her origins.
While studying in Poznan Jagoda was a significant soloist in a gospel choir Gospel Joy with whom she recorded two albums, one with original songs „Napełniaj” and one with timeless gospel classics „The greatest gospel hits” where she performs songs like „Amazing Grace” or „I believe I can fly”. Jagoda was also a part of live band to a drum&bass project Mrokas&Voitek Noir with whom she recorded two songs on album „Wkręta”.
In Portugal Jagoda is a recognisable musician, regularly performing in places like Tavola Jazz Bar, Conceptica, Cultura Lounge or Jazz Comia. Currently she’s working on a debut EP with Eduardo Faustino, guitar and Fabio Rodrigues, drums. Jagoda Trio is a fresh wind of a classic jazz, connecting traditional way of playing jazz and soul standards with a modern, neosoul approach.
