Chamber music is a fundamental pillar in the training of every musician, and it takes on particular importance at secondary school level. At this age, sharing music and personal experiences with others helps shape the young musician's personality. The Metropolitana Professional School has an average of 19 chamber music groups. These include brass quintets, wind quintets and large ensembles of brass, flutes, saxophones, clarinets, double basses and percussion, as well as groups such as piano trios and string quartets. This wide range of training is one of the school's main strengths. Thanks to partnerships with several organisations, these groups perform many times at leading venues in Lisbon and in other towns across the metropolitan area.
