Azorean singer-songwriter Sara Cruz has won over audiences and critics alike with her international and engaging sound. Born in the middle of the Atlantic, between Europe and North America, she incorporates folk influences into her work, mixed with the pop/singer-songwriter universe. The result is a deeply reflective sound experience. ‘Day or Two’, ‘Grass Is Greener’, ‘The Show’ and ‘Plot Holes’ are some of the tracks on her debut album, ‘Fourteen Forty-Five’, a title that evokes the distance in kilometres between the island where she was born and Lisbon.
FNAC New Talent in 2019, winner of the ‘NiT New Talent’ competition and participant in Yamaha Music Europe's documentary series ‘House of Talents’, Sara was a finalist in the ‘O Segredo Mais Bem Guardado’ (The Best Kept Secret) vote at the most recent PLAY: Portuguese Music Awards.
This show is part of a cycle of monthly solo concerts at MACAM promoted by Locomotiva Azul, with a focus on promoting and disseminating the work of its artists.
