TAINÁ is a Brazilian singer and composer of Indigenous origin, based in Portugal, whose connection with nature inspires her music. Her artistic journey began in Lisbon when she joined street musicians and caught the attention of Erlend Øye, who invited her to perform at his concerts. In 2019, she released the single Sonhos and took part in major festivals; in 2020, she released her debut album, TAINÁ, which won the Play Award for Best Lusophone Artist.
In 2023, she released the single Menina da Praia and began filming the documentary of the same name, directed by Nuno Dias, exploring identity, adaptation, and the Brazil–Portugal cultural bridge, highlighting TAINÁ’s fusion of styles and the unifying power of music. Her second album, Âmbar (2024), produced by Marcelo Camelo, features 11 tracks with contributions from Tiago Nacarato and Roberta Campos, presenting a fluid, ethereal, and welcoming sound that reconnects with her Brazilian roots.
At àCapela – Live Arts & Bar of MACAM, she will perform in a duo with musician and guitarist Manel Ferreira.
