The MURMUR project is part of the temporary exhibitions programme dedicated to presenting works by emerging Portuguese and foreign artists, conceived especially for MACAM's great hall.
This season, under the curatorship of Adelaide Ginga, the artist Marion Mounic (1992-) inaugurates this space with the installation ‘Harem’. This theme relates to the condition of Moroccan women and their historic struggle in favour of rights and freedoms, especially in the fight for the LGBTQ+ community. Marion Mounic uses installation and performance to explore everyday experiences, transforming ordinary materials into works that reflect the melancholy and poetry of life. A subject to explore during the themed visit.
