Diogo Costa was born in Lisbon, in 1988. He presently lives in Trafaria and works in Lisbon and Almada. He completed his degree at the Fine Arts Faculty of the Lisbon University, in 2012. He’s been teaching drawing and sculpture since 2016, at the Artistic Training Centre Nextart, in Lisbon. From his regular exhibitions, the following stand out: Oneiroikos, Brotéria, Lisbon; Preâmbulo, Solar dos Zagallos, Almada, 2022; Fenomenologias Ultraterrestres, Compostival / Matéria Cíclica, Peniche, 2022; Uma Figura Semelhante, an exhibition shown in his study and prized by the Almada City Hall during the Young Talents contest, 2021; Qual Paisagem, Sá da Costa Gallery, Lisbon, 2019; PANORAMA, Le Consulat, Lisbon, 2017. He was part of various artistic residences such as A L’Heure Du Dessin, Château de Sérvieres, Marseille, France, 2014; Artistic Residence Programme 2016, Cerveira Biennial Foundation, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal, 2016 or Artistic Residence at Casa-Animal – Organisation: Mart and Musa Paradisíaca, Fábrica de Pólvora of Vale de Milhaços, Corroios, Portugal, 2019. In parallel, he collaborated as stage setting painter in some theatre plays.
