Contemporary art has become an influential medium for reflecting on and commenting on the environmental, social and ethical issues emerging in the current context, the Anthropocene. This interdisciplinary scientific term, from the social sciences and anthropology, refers to a new geological era, defined by human actions on nature.
The artworks in this exhibition propose new narratives that challenge the public to re-evaluate their relationship with the environment and seek a new paradigm that values sustainability and interconnectedness, as suggested by the exhibition's title.
