Bárbara Bulhão

Bárbara Bulhão was born in Évora, in 1992. She presently lives and works in Lisbon.  She completed the degree in Sculpture at the Évora University, in 2013, and the Masters in Sculpture Studies at the Fine Arts Faculty of the Lisbon University, in 2015.  She also completed the course Independent Study Programme Maumaus – Escola de Artes Visuais, in Lisbon, 2016. She’s been showing her work regularly since 2013, in solo and group exhibitions, both in Portugal and abroad. Some of her most important exhibitions include No Sonho do Homem que Sonhava, O Sonhado Acordou, MNAC (2022, Lisbon); No Sonho do Homem que Sonhava, o Sonhado Acordou, Anozero Biennial (2021, Coimbra); Stills & Frames, Museu das Artes (Sintra, 2019) and The soft show, Kolder (Gant, 2018). Her work is represented in various collections, such as CACE – Coleção de Arte Contemporânea do Estado (PT), António Prates Collection (PT), Coleção Municipal de Arte Contemporânea de Sintra (PT), Budapest History Museum (HU), CAC Modern Art Center (SP), Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche (IT).
