Cinema at àCapela
The Luís Alves de Matos Series
Films about artists from the MACAM Collection
On Sundays throughout November, MACAM is presenting a film series at the àCapela venue dedicated to artists featured in its collection, through documentaries directed by Luís Alves de Matos.
This convergence of cinema, artistic creation and personal worlds offers new insights into the artists’ careers, their creative processes and the significance of their works. In addition to the film screening, each session includes a 20- to 30-minute discussion moderated by Adelaide Ginga, featuring the director and the artist portrayed, or an expert on their work.
The series invites the public to get to know these creators and their artistic vision more closely, through documentaries that serve as important testimonies to contemporary art. Through the discussion and the director’s perspective, each session offers an opportunity to deepen one’s engagement with art and with those who create it.
Free admission! RSVP required.
Book your place for each session.
